Everyone present enjoyed Jimmy John's presentation at City Hall on Monday night. The council and members in the audience listened as proprietor Chris Sedlak spoke about the sandwich chain's plans for the site of the Mobil Gas station, at 15961 Manchester Road, which <a href="https://ballwin-ellisville.patch.com/groups/business-news/p/jimmy-johns-eyes-mobil-gas-station-site" rel="nofollow">is set to close later this year.</a>  Sedlak showed posters of designs for the drive-thru during a public hearing Monday night. After Sedlak had finished, the council polled the residents in the audience for their opinion and residents showed unanimous support. However, the council did not vote on Jimmy John's conditional permit Monday, because of the city's ordinances regulating the application process.  "Public hearings do not provide for any approvals," council member Matt Pirrello said. "All they did was come in and present." The waiting period, after a proposal is made at a public hearing, is required by Ellisville law. Pirrello said the council will review and vote on a conditional use permit for Jimmy John's drive-thru at its meeting next month, on Wednesday, July 17.

Jimmy John's is asking the council for a conditional use permit to build and operate a drive-thru at its proposed future location, near the corner of Clarkson and Manchester Road.
