Jimmy John's Presents Drive-Thru Plans to Ellisville Council
Jimmy John's is asking the council for a conditional use permit to build and operate a drive-thru at its proposed future location, near the corner of Clarkson and Manchester Road.

Everyone present enjoyed Jimmy John's presentation at City Hall on Monday night.
The council and members in the audience listened as proprietorΒ Chris Sedlak spoke about the sandwich chain's plans for theΒ site of theΒ Mobil Gas station, at 15961 Manchester Road, which is set to close later this year.Β
Sedlak showed posters of designs for the drive-thru during a public hearing Monday night. After Sedlak had finished, the council polled the residents in the audience for their opinion and residents showed unanimous support.
However, the councilΒ did not vote onΒ Jimmy John's conditional permit Monday,Β because of the city's ordinances regulating the application process.Β
βPublic hearings do not provide for any approvals,β council memberΒ MattΒ Pirrello said. βAll they did was come in and present.βΒ
The waiting period, after a proposal is madeΒ at a public hearing, is required by Ellisville law. Pirrello said the council will review and vote on a conditional use permit for Jimmy John'sΒ drive-thru at its meeting next month, onΒ Wednesday, July 17.
