Lafayette's Scholar-Athlete Reflects on Perfect Season

Lafayette High School student Stephanie Campbell was recently announced as one of theΒ St. Louis Post-Dispatch’sΒ 2013 Scholar-Athletes, which is bestowed on one senior from each school in theΒ Post-DispatchΒ coverage area. The volleyball player can boast a number of athletic accomplishments, from being named Gatorade Missouri Player of the Year to her own team’s MVP, according to her profile onΒ Post-Dispatch.Β 

Campbell reflects on the team’s β€œperfect season.” 

β€œThis high school volleyball season was truly amazing as my team (the Lafayette Lancers) went 40-0 in matches and 80-0 in sets for the season. We never dropped a single set the entire season,” she toldΒ Post-Dispatch.Β

This year's 150 scholar-athletes were honored May 15 prior to the Cardinals-Mets game at Busch Stadium, according toΒ Post-Dispatch.
