Man Dies From Heat in Ballwin
The toll from heat-related deaths in St. Louis rises to 23.

An 89-year-old Ballwin man was found dead Tuesday in his home in the 400 block of Monticello Drive in Ballwin, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Franklin C. Trumpeter lived in a one-story brick home and his air-conditioner was off, according to the Post Dispatch.
Ballwin Police Officer Sarah Bonsee, who handles media communications, said a formal report had not been filed by the officer at the scene. She said the only information she could confirm is that it was an elderly individual who was found after someone asked police to check on his welfare.
The officer found him dead at the scene, Bonsee said.
Bonsee asked residents to be alert of their older neighbors.
βJust keep an eye on them and if you havenβt seen them for a day or so, there is nothing wrong with checking on them or calling us to check on them,β Bonsee said. Β
Bonsee said more information could be released as it becomes available.
The National Weather Service continues to have a Heat Advisory for the St. Louis area, where temperatures have reached 102 degrees.Β
