Veritas Gateway to Food and Wine, previously located in Chesterfield, is another step closer to making the move to Ellisville. As Patch previously reported, Veritas decided to move to a new location in hopes to better emphasize its restaurant function while also keeping a retail side in tact. The restaurant and wine shop is aiming for a late April opening with a grand opening date of May 1 at their new location in Ellisville's Fountain Plaza at the corner of Clarkson and Clayton Roads. The Ellisville Planning and Zoning Commission submitted a positive recommendation Wednesday for a conditional use permit "to allow the sale of every class of liquor by the glass and by the package, Sunday sales and outdoor dining." A public hearing for city council approval is slated for March 6.
