Walmart, Ferris Park Improvements & Jamboree Time
Here's a look at what we'll be following this week around Ballwin and Ellisville.

- Monday night, the Ballwin Board of Aldermen meets at 7 p.m. at The Pointe at Ballwin Commons. The agenda can be found here.Β Among the items up for discussion is the city's recommendation of a firm to handle a $247,000 construction project at Ferris Park.
- Monday night, the Ellisville City Council is meeting in a special session to vote on a bill that result in the hiring of a new city attorney, replacing Paul Martin, who was dismissed last month.
- Wednesday night, the Ellisville Council meets, and among the items on the agenda there is a request by Walmart for an extension of the conditional use permit granted last fall for the proposed superstore. The city's move to issue the original permit last fall has been tied up in court and will be in front of an appellate court judge later this month.
- Friday night, high school football teams around the area will be in "Jamboree" action. It's a chance to finally hit another team after all that time spent playing against your own. We'll tell you where you can find all your favorite Parkway and Rockwood teams.
