Why Is This A Dead Week?

This is the last week of summer vacation before student-athletes end up back in school and knee-deep in practices and try-out camps. State high school athletics and activities administrators have set up the week as a time to decompress and get away from it all. No contact with coaches. No organized workout camps. Zip.
