5 Things to Know About This Week in Chesterfield

1) Start your week off with some good news with this story about two teenage lifeguards who helped save the life of a 3-year-old boy at the Chesterfield Aquatic Center Saturday.

2) If you’re reading this Monday morning, than you still have a chance to meet hometown hero and Cardinals third baseman David Freese. Freese will be signing autographs for the first 200 visitors to the Schnucks store on Kehrs Mill Road between 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m.

3) Don’t miss your chance to see the larger-than-life painted pet that has been parked at the Chesterfield Amphitheater in Central Park by the Animal Protective Association as part of their 90th Anniversary project. Check out this posting on Patch for more info about the statutes.

4) Get some networking done and enjoy dinner and drinks at Business After Hours, hosted by the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce. The event runs from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at Chesterfield Police Apartments. You can register online here.

5) The Chesterfield Planning Commission will be meeting Monday, and on their agenda is final approval for a new, residential subdivision with 44-single family homes called the Arbors, which will be located at 17015 Church Rd. You can find more information about the project on the city’s website.
