5 Things to Know About This Week in Chesterfield

1) This Friday marks the grand opening of the Taubman Prestige Outlets, one of two highly anticipated outlet malls scheduled to open in Chesterfield this month. The Taubman development is the one located on the east end of Chesterfield Valley near the Boone’s Crossing exit on I-64.

The stores officially open at 9:15 a.m. and Taubman is planning a variety of festivities and promotions, including a $25 gift card for the first 1,000 shoppers in line.

2) All-girl teen pop group Fifth Harmony is heading to St. Louis as part of a national tour and will be performing at Chesterfield Mall Monday at 4 p.m. The group finished in third on The X-Factor in 2012 and has recently released an album.

3) You can also take in some tunes on Tuesday at Faust Park as part of the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce Summer Concert Series. Janis Joplin tribute band Gypsy Jones will be taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. with seating and concessions available beginning at 5:30 p.m.

4) If you have a thirst that needs quenching, then you'll want to head to iTap in Chesterfield on Thursday. The bar is hosting a tap takeover by microbrewer Great Divide that evening.

5) You can get a sneak peek at some ambitious plans from the Great Rivers Greenway regarding a plan to connect the Monarch-Chesterfield Levee Trail to the Western Greenway Trail in Wildwood during an open house at 4:30 p.m., Thursday, at Wildwood City Hall. The organization is looking to gather public feedback on the proposed 15-mile, multi-use trail.
