The 6-cent tax measure would also be used to build a new main county library. The committee Citizens for Our Library and Our Community <a href="http://www.slcl.org/libraries-matter" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">supports the six-cent increase</a>. In July, it reported receiving contributions totaling $50,100 from April 16 through June 30, a document filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission states.
