Celebrity Heidi Klum Chooses Freaky 'Headless Boy' for Patch Winner

Patch's Halloween costume contest names ten winners. Thank you, all of you, for your creative entries.

Celebrity judge Heidi Klum chose the costume of 11-year-old Wyckoff, NJ resident Jack Hagan as grand prize winner of Patch's Little Pumpkin Costume Challenge.

Hagan's spookyβ€”if not slightly disturbingβ€”"headless boy" costume was chosen by Klum from nearly 2,700 entries from Patch sites across the country.

Hagan wins a 3-day trip for two to New York City that includes meeting Klum, plus a donation of $1,031 to a charity of his choice. Klum is a married mother of four young children.

Ken Hagan, Jack's father, said the two enjoyed creating the costume together.

"It's kind of a father-son fun thing we like to do each year," Ken Hagan said.

The winner chose K.I.N.D.: Kids in Need of Desks as his charity. The organization is a joint effort of UNICEF and MSNBC. It provides schools in Malawi, Africa with desks to provide students with a better atmosphere for learning. They aim to bring 46,000 desks to 172 schools.

Hagan said his son learned about K.I.N.D. when MSNBC host Lawrence O'Donnell visited his elementary school last year to speak about the charity. His school raised more than $6,000 for the organization.

"He felt that it was a really good charity," Ken Hagan said about his son.
