Chesterfield Man Charged In Sex Crime Waits in Jail

Awaiting decision on probation.

A Chesterfield husband and convicted sex offender charged in a second case last month, sits in jail awaiting a court decision on whether he's violated the lifetime probation of the earlier conviction, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol Sex Offender Registry.

Thomas M. Hill, 57, is now scheduled for a May 15 "criminal setting conference" in the latest case, continued from a similar conference May 1 in St. Louis County Circuit Court.

For some unknown reason, the courts did not update the case status until 10 days after the previous court date on casenet.com.

According to those familiar with the courts but not linked to the specific case, such conferences would be about whether and how Hill may or may not have violated the terms of his "lifetime supervision" probation from the 2002 conviction on sodomy with a 10-year-old girl.

If found he in violation, the courts would decide what additional punishment would follow. Hill was arrested April 17 on new charges of six counts of child molestation with previous conviction.

The lastest charges involved "touching" attorneys said.

Up until about six months ago, he listed a Richmond Heights address on the Sex Offender Registry.

His wife filed for divorce January 4, attorneys linked to the case confirmed.

Chesterfield police arrested Hill based on victims' statements.

Documents show Hill was incarcerated on $20,000 cash-only bond.
