A Chesterfield man, Christopher P. Grimes, 49, died Saturday after he was hit by a truck on Interstate 70 near Wentzville. Officials said Grimes was on foot, walking along the typically busy interstate highway, when he stepped in front of a moving truck. The 2005 Freighliner truck, driven by Timothy C. Aldridge, 46, of Camilla, GA, was eastbound on I-70.  According to the <a href="http://www.mshp.dps.mo.gov/HP68/search.jsp" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Missouri State Highway Patrol</a>, the accident occurred at 4 p.m. Saturday just east of the 205 mile marker on I-70. The pedestrian, Grimes, was pronounced dead at the scene by fire personnel. His body was taken to the St. Louis County morgue.  The driver of the truck was wearing a seat belt, according to the <a href="http://www.mshp.dps.mo.gov/HP68/AccidentDetailsAction?ACC_RPT_NUM=A127309C" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">report</a>.
