Chesterfield Still Dark for 95 Customers Early Friday
Outage crashed Mobil station computers at Clayton and Baxter roads; no gas at the pumps.

Chesterfield had 95 Ameren customers without power early Friday, after the majority of 1,445 customers' electricity was restored on Thursday by 6pm.
Residents lost electricity about 4pm Thursday when a feeder line "failed" officials said. Parts of Ballwin and Wildwood went dark also. Ameren Illinois had some 4,000 customers without power at the same time.
Chesterfield had power flickering off and on before the full-blown outage. When all but 23 customers were back online, the outages then crept back up into Friday morning.

Initially, Ameren said the Chesterfield outage would be quickly rectified.
The well-used Mobil gas station at Clayton and Baxter roads was not pumping gas after the outage, since the computer system crashed and was yet to be reset. The station shut down most lights at the pumps to signal drivers gas was unavailable.
