Put the Food On Hold and Go 5K Thanksgiving Morning
Chesterfield 'Turkey Trot' run sign-up deadline is Wednesday.

Chesterfield's city website provided these details for the annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning:
"Be part of the excitement in Chesterfield on Thanksgiving morning by lacing up those running shoes and trotting over to the 12th Annual Turkey Trot, presented by the City of Chesterfield Parks & Recreation Department and sponsored by St. Luke's Hospital.
"Join in the fun with over 3,500 participants as they run, walk, push the baby strollerβand some will even have their four-legged members of the family racing towards the finish line. Stick around after the race for refreshments and awards ceremony.
"The event will be held at the Chesterfield Amphitheater (631 Veterans Place Drive) in Chesterfield. The routes are closed to traffic for both events."

The Chesterfield Turkey Trot includes:Β
- 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk starts at 8:30 a.m. and follows a route along Chesterfield Parkway and around the Chesterfield Mall.
- 1K (.62 mile) kid's Fun Run for ages 9 and under starts at 9:15 a.m. and follows a route along Veteran's Place Drive.
- Long sleeve T-shirts are guaranteed for the first 2,200 registered.

- To register on-line there are two sites.
- Mailed-in registration forms must be postmarked by Friday, November 18.
- Online registration ends Sunday, November 20 at midnight.
- Register in person Monday and Tuesday, November 21 and 22 from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. at Chesterfield City Hall.
- On Wednesday November 23, registrations will be taken during packet pickup at Fleet Feet in Chesterfield Valley 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
- No race day registrations accepted.
- Please bring a canned food donation to packet pickup on Wednesday, or drop it off before the race on Thursday morning.
The City of Chesterfield conducts a canned food drive for Circle of Concern which feeds the hungry and provides long-term and emergency assistance to low income families living in western St. Louis County. Each month, Circle of Concern feeds over 1,800 individuals.
