City Delivers On Garden Plots In Dog Park

Community gardeners can get ready for spring planting.

Chesterfield's β€”affectionately β€”got the majority of its garden plot beds Thursday, as city workers delivered the plywood fixtures.

Residents reserve a garden plot for $30 per season, by contacting City Hall 636-537-4000 and the Parks and Recreation department.

Dog park membership is $30 for the year with proof of residency and dog medical recordsβ€”apply online or in person at City Hall. Pit Bulls are banned.

The park is located along Baxter Road near Clarkson Road, just behind , with the entrance on Old Baxter Road off Highcroft Drive.

The 2-acre dog run within 18-acre Eberwein Park has proved enormously popular, with over 1,000 residents joining during the first three months after it opened September 1.

Supplying the garden beds was estimated to cost $16,000 for the city.
