Middle-Aged Women Go DWI This Week

Chesterfield police crime log says it's so.

A number of middle-aged women were cited this week in Chesterfield for DWI—driving while intoxicated, and alcohol-related incidents.

  • A 43-year-old woman in a car crash was arrested for DWI and assault on a police officer, in the 1800 block Schloettler Valley Drive, May 11, 10:40 p.m. Police said when they tried to administer a Standardized Field Sobriety test, the woman tried to shove the officer away. It was her third DWI.
  • A 50-year-old woman was arrested on a fourth DWI with drugs, on Baxter Road at Chesterfield Bluffs Drive in Highland Acres. The incident was May 10, 11 p.m.
  • A 50-year-old woman was cited May 11 for allowing a large underage party, with alcohol, at her house, and 21 minors were cited for possession of alcohol. Her citation was part of an ordinance in which she was expected to "exercise parental control." It was 1:20 in the afternoon, 1900 block Highland Forest Court.
  • A 35-year-old woman was arrested for DWI with Child Endangerment, after police discovered she had a child in the car with her, on East Chesterfield Parkway at Schoettler Valley Drive, on May 9 at 10:21 p.m.

Other charges

  • A 51-year-old man evicted from apartment was found to have a stolen handgun, narcotic and marijuana paraphernalia, in the 1700 block Ardmore Creek Drive on May 14, about noon.
  • A 31-year-old woman was arrested on felony drug possession after police said she received a synthetic hallucinogen in the mail. Police said further investigation showed she "was not caring for her daughter." The discovery was made in the 17000 block Surrey View Drive, at 4:40 p.m. on May 9, however, the police log shows it ongoing since Feb. 19.

  • A 36-year-old man was sending threatening text messages to an ex-girlfriend, in the 2100 block Park Forest Drive, May 9, between noon and 5:49 p.m.

Shut up

  • A 50-year-old woman was cited for not controlling her pet dogs and creating a nuisance, with ongoing barking by her pet dogs at 3:43 a.m., in the 15000 block Country Ridge Drive, May 14.
  • A 50-year-old woman was cited for failing to control her pet dog, when it turned up in the neighbor's back yard running loose, 1:40 p.m. on May 14, in the 2000 block Winterhaven Court.
