Dog Park Gets More Parking Spaces
Popular park outgrew parking after three months.
Chesterfield's newest park, Eberwein, is set to get more designated surface parking ASAP.
βthe city's firstβdrew more than 1,050 members over its first three months of operation, yet off-street parking provided just 20-25 spots.
Monday, Chesterfield Mayor Bruce Geiger said the park was getting another estimated 15 parking spaces immediately. He said it was part of the initial plan.

Eberwein is located in an area bounded by Baxter Road, Old Baxter Road, Highcroft and the back of Dierbergs Market Place.
Membership requires Chesterfield residency and a $30 fee in January 2012 for the calendar year, payable at City Hall and online.
Dogs wear tags indicating membership.
Chief City Administrator Mike Herring said the dog park is performing "beyond our wildest dreams" and generating revenue for the city.
