Dog Run Opens Thursday In Park Near Dierbergs

Eberwein Park is at the corner of Baxter and Old Baxter roads, behind Dierbergs, with a one-way car entrance on Old Baxter.

Everything looks good for Wednesday's ribbon cutting ceremony at Eberwein Parkβ€”Chesterfield's newest park. The park then opens Thursday to the public.

The park has an historic barn on it, in addition to a fenced dog run which can be seen from behind Dierbergs. It costs $30 a year to join, but only $10 this year (Sept. - Dec.)

Residents only may buy a member tag Sept. 1-2 at the park, and otherwise at City Hall.

Two houses were torn down to create the park. One was a clapboard white farm house, the other was a mid-century brick ranch.Β Adjacent to the park is a handful of newer $1 million houses on very small parcels.
