Fire Crews Respond to Report of Smoke at U.S. Bank in Chesterfield

Update 7/22:

Officials said the fire was very limited in scope and contained in the ductworks of the heating and air conditioning system. No structural damage to the building was reported. 

Original story:

Crews with the Monarch Fire Protection District are checking out a possible fire at the U.S. Bank in the Hilltown Village Schnucks in Chesterfield. 

Fire Marshal Roger Herin said they received a report at around 10:20 a.m. this morning that smoke was coming out of a HVAC vent at the bank, which is located inside the grocery store. 

Firefighters are currently investigated what could be causing the smoke. Patch will update this story with more information as it becomes available.
