The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the Chesterfield area until 9 p.m.
The agency said a slow moving thunderstorm is expected to dump heavy rainfall across a large swath of St. Louis County.
Residents are urged to take precautions and avoid areas that are prone to flooding.
