Guitars Will Be on Fire this Weekend in Chesterfield

The theme for this weekend is southern rock and shopping. 

1) If you are looking for some music this weekend, then head to the Chesterfield Amphitheater Saturday for an evening of Southern Rock with “Guitars on Fire.”

2) Chesterfield Mall will also be hosting a musical event from 5-7 p.m. Friday with a special appearance by actress Cymphonique Miller, aka Kacey Simon from the TV show “How to Rock.” As part of the concert, fans are encouraged to donate new school supplies during their visit to benefit the Urban Born Foundation.

3) With the Missouri’s tax-free weekend taking place this Friday-Sunday, ‘tis the time of year for back-to-school shopping, so check out the details here.

4) August may mean the end of summer is approaching, but the area’s farmer’s markets are still going strong. Ellisville’s runs from 4-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Bluebird Park while Wildwood will host one from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday in the Town Center plaza.

5) And as all serious shoppers and frequent Chesterfield Patch visitors already know, the outlet mall showdown begins in earnest Friday with the opening of Taubman Prestige Outlets.
