Houseguest Stole $5,000 From Woman's Bank Account, Police Say
Chesterfield Police said the man was identified on video surveillance as making the illegal withdrawals.
A houseguest in Chesterfield stole $5,000 from a womanβs bank account between Oct. 12 and Nov. 3, 2011, Chesterfield Police said.
Austin Scherr, 25, of the 600 block of Broadmoor Drive in Chesterfield, was charged Friday with felony stealing. Police said Scherr was staying at the womanβs home in Chesterfield during the dates in question and had access to her debit card.
Scherr was identified on video recordings making the unauthorized withdrawals at an ATM, police said.

Bail was set at $5,000.
