Mayor Gives Official Snip of the Ribbon For New Road
And Lydia Hill Drive extension is open for business.

Chesterfield officials and community members opened the Lydia Hill Drive extension road Wednesday in a ribbon-cutting event.
βThe road was a vision of Louis Sachs and part of the overall plan for Chesterfield Village and we are happy to see it completed,β Mayor Bruce Geiger said.
Sachs is considered the founder of modern-day Chesterfield, particularly Chesterfield Village, which is the general area surrounding the Louis B. Sachs library.

Sachs developed Chesterfield Mall in the 1970s with a vision for the rest of the city. After decades of persistence, he died earlier this year.
