MoDOT Cements Plans For New Route 141 Opening
Pedestrians, runners and bicyclists get first travel on new thoroughfare; opens July 14, a Saturday.

A ribbon-cutting July 14 that opens Route 141 in Chesterfield, will launch with pedestrians, runners and bicyclists using the roadsβminus the cars and trucksβfor about four hours Saturday morning.
The Missouri Department of Transportation and St. Louis County will celebrate the completion of two projects in St. Louis County with a joint ribbon cutting event on Saturday, July 14.
At that time, MoDOT and the county will open both the relocated RouteΒ 141Β project and the Page-Olive Connector project.

The public is invited to join MoDOT and the county for a morning's worth of events.
The morning's celebration includes a 10K run on the new roadway, administered by Big Shark; a period of open walking, running and cycling on portions of the new highway; and a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m.

Parking will be available at . Shuttle service will be available from there to the ceremony location at Olive Boulevard.Β
Runners interested in participating in the 10K run can pre-register on-line at Bigshark.com.
The day's schedule:
- 6 a.m. Β Registration for the "RouteΒ 141Β Run to Get it Done 10K" starts
- 7:30 a.m. Β "RouteΒ 141Β Run to Get it Done 10K" starts
- 9 a.m. Β Open walk/run/bike on relocated RouteΒ 141Β between the Parkway Central Complex and Olive Boulevard and portions of the Page-Olive Connector.
- 10 a.m. Β Ribbon-cutting event under the Olive Boulevard bridge.
- 11 a.m. Β Open walk/run/bike ends. Shuttle service continues from the ribbon cutting site to the Parkway Central Complex until 11:30 a.m. and until all attendees return.
