Never Read It? See the Play at Chesterfield Mall Theatre

A non-profit theater group renting space at Chesterfield Mall is putting on 12 shows of Tennessee Williams' The Glass Managerie over the next three weekends, starting Thursday 8 p.m. - March 18. Sundays 2 p.m.

Tickets are $22-$25. A preview Thursday March 1 is only $18. Judging from previous productions, theater-goers say Dramatic License Productions are worth the price of the ticket.

And if you haven't read The Glass Menagerie, it's worth seeing the play. You'll get a sense of what Tennessee Williams' writing is all about. His works are often considered semi-autobiographical, and alcohol-fueled.

Dramatic License Theatre has received six Kevin Kline Award nominations and won one, since its inception in August 2009 by Professional Theatre Council.

Who's Kevin Kline? From the PTC website:

A St. Louis native and Priory School graduate, Kevin Kline won Tony Awards for “On the Twentieth Century” and “The Pirates of Penzance” before leading roles in “Sophie’s Choice” (1982) and “The Big Chill” (1983) made him a Hollywood star.
