Chesterfield city staff called for $64,000 additional Monday to complete the Lydia Hill Drive extension that would hook up Baxter Road and Chesterfield Parkway.

The job for 1,500 feet of new road was initially bid at $1.5 million, staff said. The extra cost would make it $1,564,000 total, by Patch figuring, or about $1,043 per foot.
