Parade For Iraq War Troops Begins w/Friday Night Vigil
Names of the fallen to be read in vigil starting at 9:11 p.m., downtown.

Tonight, Friday night, the public is invited to a vigil in downtown St. Louis to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice in defending the U.S.A. in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars since the 9/11 attacks on the nation.
The vigil begins at 9:11 p.m. at the Soldier's Memorial at Chestnut and 13th Street. It will include the reading of names of the fallen, those who have died.
It is expected to last through the evening until Saturday's noon start of the parade, welcoming back Iraq War Veterans.
The parade begins on Market Street at Kiener Plaza, in St. Louis.
A resource area will be open to the public at the end of the route at Union Station, with the goal of providing information and opportunities for returning veterans.
