Two Parkway West students have been referred to a juvenile court after they were caught with marijuana on school property. Chesterfield Police Officer Michael Ryffel said that on March 11, a school staff member smelled something burning in one of the school's bathroom and "it went from there." The students, a 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, were both sent home. Police said the two teens had a "small amount" of marijuana and the case has been handed over to a juvenile court. The incident occurred the same day that another high school in Parkway was being searched by a canine drug-sniffing unit from the St. Louis County Police Department. Conducted at Parkway Central, the dogs searched the school's hallways while students remained in classrooms.
