Parkway Superintendent Contract Up for Extension
The extension is one of the items on the agenda for tonight's meeting of the Parkway School Board.

The Parkway School Board will meet tonight at 7:30 p.m. at the district's central offices at 455 N. Woods Mill Road. Here's a preview of some the items on the board's agenda.
- The board will vote on extending Superintendent Keith Martyβs contract for an additional year to extend his tenure to through the 2015-16 school year. A Parkway official said any salary increase for Marty,Β ,Β would be approved separately at the boardβs May meeting.Β
- The renovations for fine arts facilities at three of the districtβs high schools promised as part of a 2008 bond issue will finally be moving forward. The board is set to approve the bids received for the around $1.4 million in projects, which will include the addition of 3,200 square feet of space to the west side of North High, with construction expected to take place this summer.
- The board will likely set April 15 as the date for a special organizational meeting to swear in board members Sam Sciortino and Tom Applebaum, who won re-election on April 2, for their next term.Β
