Patch Opinion Ignites Facebook When Noted Author Re-Posts

Anne Rice picks up a Patch opinion piece for her Facebook page, and it's a run on "Likes" and comments because a Chesterfield mom makes hard choices.

A regular Patch opinion column posted early Wednesday morning, was picked up by novelist Anne Rice (who is mentioned in the article) posted to her Facebook page, and so far has generated hundreds of "Recommends", "Likes", and scores of comments.

Our Patch writer, Julie Kuennke, wrote about her hardβ€”and heartfeltβ€”decision to leave the Catholic church when her children became sunday school age. She feared the potential for child abuse, she said.

Rice publicly repudiated her own Catholic faith, and Kuennke referred to that in her Patch columnΒ The Mom Memo.Β

Rice has written 32 books, she said on her Facebook info page. All were fiction except one, about the death of her husband.
