Michael Adams, 24, of Chesterfield, was arrested and charged with trespassing and destruction of property.

Police have charged a Chesterfield man with trespassing and destruction of property after he entered a neighbor’s home while drunk and took a shower.

Michael Adams, 24, forced his way into the residence in the 200 block of River Bend Dr. at around 4 a.m. April 17, police said, and then proceeded to the bathroom, where he washed up.

At that point, the commotion woke up the homeowner, who was startled to find the stranger in his house and contacted the police, only later recognizing Adams as someone who lived in the neighborhood.
