Popular Novelist Takes A Second Look at Patch Contributor—Again
Anne Rice picks up on a second article about a woman's tough choices and the Catholic Church.

Novelist Anne Rice picked up a second article by Chesterfield Patch contributor Julie Kuenneke, and posted it on her Facebook page. Kuenneke seems to have struck a cord with others about Catholicism and their futures.
The following are simply picked up from Facebook page.
Anne Rice This is from Julie Kuenneke. We published an earlier column of hers on this page. Your response to this most recent column are most welcome here. I think many good points are covered in this article.

Jim Barnett A very emotional article, I must say -- but misguided. She put the final nail against Catholicism because of the sexual abuse scandals? Really? Her focus was more on the human beings and their fallibles instead of Christ? Of course, anyone would leave the Church then. One might as well leave life, because the world is full of human evil. I had a sister born after me with a "water-head." She was seen as probably having been in the womb in that condition, but her life was considered so sacred -- no matter. Why should her life had been ended just because my Mom would not want to see her suffer? Mom decided she didn't have that right -- my sister's life was just as sacred and special in her condition.
Taita Rollin Gamboa Yup and every single person is granted the gift of free will from God, God and his church does not cease to exist regardless of anybody's alien beliefs to church law! Not everything deserves an explanation just like you don't feel the need to explain your abortions or same sex marriages! As a country and politically yes you should have the right to abortion and same sex marriage but in the church that's a whole different ball game that none of you have to partake it, just go about your own ways :-)

Tony DeGrazia As a former minister who had to also walk away from my church, I pose this question: Did Jesus come to bring more suffering to this world? Because it sure seems that way according to many churches. Making mothers give birth to babies that will suffer and die is way too extreme to even comprehend. And I have to point out that a lot of the suffering happens to women. Single mothers, those seeking to make choices for their own body, and women who seek tol serve their God are denied access to do so. I will say this till I am dead, with the christian right its all about the suffering.
Paul Broussard Ms Kuenneke made the right decision, for all of the right reasons.
