Rockwood Schools' Best People Compete for 2012 Honors
An estimated one in 16 would win a ROSE award, from the nomination pool of 245 people.

Rockwood schools mounts its 23rd year of naming some 15 individuals for a "Rockwood Outstanding Service in Education" awardβacronym ROSE.
"The prestigious ROSE Award is bestowed upon individuals who show excellence of character, performance, leadership and service to the Rockwood School District," according to the district website.
WinnersΒ will be notified in early February, withΒ ROSE committee co-chairs visiting each ROSE AwardΒ recipientΒ with balloons and flowers on Tuesday, Feb. 28.

Last year's winners included teachers, custodians, parent volunteers, principals, secretaries, bus drivers, counselor and a director of professional development/acceleration.

The 2012 ROSE Awards will be presented in a ceremony at the Doubletree Hotel St. Louis at Westport,Β on Sunday, May 6.
