Saint Louis Crisis Nursery Receives $45,000 Grant from Bayer Fund
The funds will provide food to Nursery children

The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery announced today it received a grant for $45,000 from Bayer Fund, a philanthropic arm of Bayer in the U.S. This grant will be used to provide nutritious meals to children at the Crisis Nursery and food bags for the families to take home.
“We are very grateful for the ongoing support of Bayer Fund,” said Molly Brown, Saint Louis Crisis Nursery CEO. “With the grant from Bayer Fund, the Nursery’s Food and Nutrition Program will provide 43,300 meals and snacks for more than 3,600 children at Crisis Nurseries throughout the greater St. Louis Region. This grant will additionally allow the Crisis Nursery Family Empowerment Centers to supply 2,400 emergency food bags to low-income, food-insecure families.”

About the Crisis Nursery: The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery provides a 24-hour, 365 days/year safe haven for children, birth through age 12, whose families are facing a crisis. Parents bring children to the Nursery free of charge, on a voluntary basis, where they receive a medical exam, therapeutic activities, nutritious meals, and take-home necessities. Parents receive crisis counseling, in-home visits, parent educational groups, and community outreach. In 38 years, the Crisis Nursery has served over 138,000 children.
