Drivers in Chesterfield can move about a little more easily now after the Missouri Department of Transportation announced Wednesday night that the Spirit of St. Louis Boulevard bridge over I-64 has been reopened.  <a href="https://chesterfield.patch.com/groups/around-town/p/spirit-of-st-louis-bridge-over-interstate-64-closed-starting-monday-for-30-days" rel="nofollow">MoDOT closed the bridge for 30 days</a>, beginning July 7, for repairs that raised the bridge and fixed low clearance issues. The ramp from Spirit to eastbound I-64 has also been reopened.  The Spirit of St. Louis bridge work is part of the overall $110.9 million new I-64 Daniel Boone Missouri River bridge being constructed by the Walsh-Alberici Joint Venture.  The entire I-64 Daniel Boone Bridge project will be complete by December 2015.
