St. Louis is 6th Best for Celebrating St. Patrick's Day

St. Louis may only be 8.6 percent Irish by U.S. Census counts, but when St. Patrickβs Day comes around, that number seems to shoot up to 100 percent.
Shindigz, a party supply website, named St. Louis the No. 6 place in the country to celebrate St. Patrickβs Day based on our Michelob 5 Mile Run, which will host more than 13,000 runners this year, as well as the St. Pattyβs Day parade with balloons, Irish dancers, horses and floats.
About 11 percent of the United States identifies as Irish, according the census data quoted in a Shindigz press release. St. Louisβ Irish population is slightly lower than the average at 8.6 percent, according to city-data.com.
