UPDATE: Vacancy at Dierbergs Market Place Has History
The 1,440 square feet was Kids Sportsworld, which closed Christmas Eve.
Commercial space for rent at(Clarkson at Baxter roads) was not recently "the Acorn" like a remaining sign showed, but instead was Kids SportsWorld, since 1992.
Kids SportsWorld was a sporting goods store that closed up in Chesterfield on Christmas Eve, according to its Facebook page. Its other location in Des Peres on Manchester Road closed up shop for good February 29, Leap Day. It was a business started by Julie and David Hill, when they couldn't find snorkeling supplies for their own kids.
The 1,440 square feet for rent now at the former Kids SportsWorld is only part of the total space there. Neighboring wine experience may want to rent a portion of it.

So Kids SportsWorld had their sign over "the Acorn" sign above the door, and it didn't show up again (circa 1988) until recently, when the Kids sign came down.
Anyone know what "the Acorn" was? Some said used to be there (which is now farther along Clarkson Road toward Highway 40) but still no word on "the Acorn."
