Wilson Center a 'Mess' Tuesday, with Paving and Gutter Work
Avoid tar on your car and shoes, and jam up.
Wilson Center parking lot, on Clarkson Road in Chesterfield, is undergoing paving and fixes to water runoff channels Tuesday, so you may want to avoid it.
While good eateries and services are there, parking is limited and some areas are blocked between aisles. There are strips of black smoking "tar" paving just about everywhere you might want to drive. Workers said they were patching up holes.
Also, residents from Clarkson Woods subdivision might want to avoid the cut-thru into Wilson Center. It's a bottleneck.

There was no immediate information Tuesday how long the projects would last.
The most promising area to park or drive was in front of the and at about 10am Tuesday.

Workers on the draining channels did say they were not connected with the re-paving and patching going on.
