
A benefit concert featuring American Idol finalist Scott MacIntyre is planned Dec. 2 in honor of the 60th anniversary of -based .
The event will begin at 8 p.m. Dec. 2 at Sheldon Concert Hall and feature a duet with MacIntyre and a Delta Gamma Center participant selected from eight contestants during a mini American Idol contest this summer, a news release from the organization states.
MacIntyre was the first blind finalist on American Idol and has since released the hit holiday song "Christmas Angel" and performed with acts such as Alice Cooper, Jason Mraz and Queen.
Tickets start at $35 and may be purchased by going to dgckids.org. Patron ticket packages begin at $150 and include preferred parking, dinner and drinks before the show. Corporate tickets also are available.
