Roy Wright has been promoted to chief of police in Richmond Heights, City Manager Amy Hamilton announced Monday night.
Wright began serving several months ago as acting police chief after Rick Vilcek retired. Vilcek is expected to serve as a City Council representative starting later this month.
An official pinning ceremony is planned for the April 16 council meeting.
