Clayton Police Arrest Fugitive Wanted For Illinois Murder
The man was wanted as a suspect in a shooting in a Madison County, IL nightclub.

Clayton Police arrested a man Oct. 8 wanted for first-degree murder in Macon County, IL.
Clayton Police stopped a car Oct. 8 at Clayton Road and Whitburn Drive, and Jermine T. Hubbert, 25, fled from the car, according to the police report. Clayton Police caught him after a foot chase.
Hubbert was wanted on a fugitive warrant for first-degree murder, aggravated battery with a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon. Macon County Sheriff’s Department said Hubbert shot a man in a nightclub Feb. 6.

Clayton Police found a loaded Hi Point 9 mm handgun on the floorboard where Hubbert had been sitting in the car. He was charged in St. Louis County Circuit Court Oct. 9 with unlawful possession of a handgun.
