Clayton Restaurant to Celebrate Julia Child
The special offerings will be available Tuesday on what would have been the celebrity cook's 100th birthday.
Clayton's will celebrate what would have been the 100th birthday of celebrity cook Julia Child on Tuesday with a special menu.
An email newsletter from Pomme states that highlights will include:
- French bread (made in-house)
- Soupe au Pistou (a Provençale vegetable soup with a purée of fresh basil)
- Roast Chicken with Port Wine and Mushrooms
- Chocolate Almond Cake
The dishes represent "a few of her classic recipes," the Pomme newsletter states. Child wrote "Mastering the Art of French Cooking," and the menus of the two Pomme locations on Clayton's North Central Avenue contain many French influences.
