
A driver whose car got hit in the parking lot of a gas station has been arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace, the Richmond Heights Police Department reported.
It happened June 28 at Circle K gas station, 1402 Hanley Rd.
The incident began when a driver caused a minor traffic accident in the parking lot and then tried to apologize to the victim. At that point, the victim got out of his vehicle and became "irate enough to attract the attention of those around him," a police blotter entry states.

A police officer who had witnessed the accident tried to defuse the situation, at which point the victim began cursing loudly at the officer.
The suspect was arrested and held while police applied for a warrant, and his vehicle was towed from the scene.
