Del Norte Burglary Investigation Underway in Richmond Heights
Police are looking into whether the incident is tied to another burglary on Bellevue Avenue, an official said.
An April 12 burglary at a home on Del Norte Avenue is under investigation by the , Sgt. Doug Schaeffler said Friday.
Police are looking into the possibility that the incident is connected with a burglary the following day on Bellevue Avenue, he said.
The Del Norte burglary happened in the street's 1500 block. Schaeffler declined to comment on what was taken from the home or how the perpetrator entered the building because the investigation is ongoing.
The victim came home to find that a break-in had occurred, an online report from Richmond Heights police states.
Scott M. Smith, 21, has been arrested in connection with the Bellevue Avenue burglary. Smith admitted he was trying to get some money, according to a police report.
