Driver In Deadly Crash Charged With Driving While High

Charging documents say police found a syringe containing fentanyl in Chad Cooper's vehicle and injection marks on Cooper's arm.

CLAYTON, MO — Chad Cooper, 36, has been charged with four felonies related to a deadly crash in July of 2017, the Post-Dispatch reports. Police say the St. Louis man was driving while high on morphine and fentanyl when he crashed into and killed 52-year-old Regina Jones.

Cooper was charged in St. Louis County Court Wednesday with two counts of driving while intoxicated, illegal drug possession and driving with a revoked license.
