Election 2012: Five Richmond Heights Races Expected; Nomination Packets Available

Richmond Heights residents interested in running for mayor or City Council representative in April can pick up nomination packets at City Hall.

Nomination packets are available to Richmond Heights residents interested in running for mayor or one of four City Council seats.

Filing for the April 3 election opens 8:30 a.m. Nov. 28. The first person to file for a race will appear first on that section of the ballot, city public relations coordinator Irene Johnson said Tuesday. The filing period ends at 5 p.m. Jan. 13.

Those elected to the open seats are expected to serve four-year terms ending in April 2016. The terms of the following elected officials expire in April:

  • Mayor James Beck
  • District 1 Councilman Paul Lore
  • District 2 Councilman Jim Thomson
  • District 3 Councilwoman Gina Mitten
  • District 4 Councilwoman Camille Greenwald
