A British gentleman joins the French Foreign Legion in order to avoid the scandal of a jewel theft and to save a lady’s honor. This is an excellent adaptation of the classic novel by Percival Christopher Wren. Directed by William Wellman and starring Gary Cooper as Beau Geste.
