's DECA Business Club will co-sponsor an entrepreneurship symposium for teenagers Nov. 7 at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature keynote speaker Maxine Clark, founder and chief executive of Build-A-Bear. The following teen entrepreneur panelists also will speak:
- Perry Chen of Perry's Previews
- Lily Sandler of BLAMtastic
- John Schenk of Show Me Signatures
- Adele Ann Taylor of Adele's Literacy Library
- Hart Main of Man-Cans
Registration is $15 per person, includes lunch and may be made online. The symposium will take place at the J.C. Penney Conference Center, 210 J.C. Penney Conference Center, 1 University Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63121.
The Clayton club is working with Independent Youth, a nonprofit that promotes entrepreneurship among young people, on the event. A symposium agenda may be downloaded from the organization's website.
