Flooding and Senior Housing Among Agenda Items in Clayton

The July 17 meeting is the second in a series of discussions about improving sustainability in Mid-County. People with ties to Richmond Heights and other nearby cities also are participating.

Clayton will host the second meeting in a series about improving sustainability in Mid-County on July 17.

At a kickoff discussion in March, participants of the Mid-County area. They also shared changes they would like to see implemented.

The sessions sponsored by the East-West Gateway Council of Governments are targeted at people who live, work or play in , , Maplewood, Brentwood and Shrewsbury, though anyone is welcome to attend.

The July 17 meeting runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in meeting rooms A and B at . Attendees will be asked how St. Louis should address the following issues:

  • Creating more housing options for seniors
  • Improving coordination between cities
  • Addressing flooding and stormwater issues
  • Improving access to public transit and pedestrian and biking options

Pre-registration may be made online. Doors will open at 6 p.m.
