Concealed Gun Found in Galleria Shoplifter's Purse, Police Say
Shaquilla East was charged with unlawful use of a weapon after being detained for stealing at the mall.

A woman caught shoplifting at the St. Louis Galleria also was carrying a concealed handgun, police said.
Shaquilla East, 19, of the 4900 block of Plover Avenue in St. Louis, was charged April 18 with unlawful use of a weapon.
Richmond Heights Police said East was detained for shoplifting on April 17 at the Galleria. When police searched her purse, they found a handgun.

East was released from St. Louis County Justice Center Friday. Bail was set at $7.500.
